Diabetic Eye Disease Treatment

Laser treatments are used to treat Certain types of Diabetic Eye Disease:

  • Proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy – Abnormal growth of new blood vessels on the surface of the retina
  • Diabetic Macular Edema – Swelling (Edema) of Macula (the central portion of the retina)

INJECTIONS

Injections of medications called anti-VEGF drugs help reduce the number of abnormal blood vessels in your retina and slow any leaking from these abnormal blood vessels.

  • Performed in the Office with Topical Anesthesia (Numbing Eyedrops)
